Note to anyone looking to check out Jean-Luc Ponty. This might be the place to start, after getting his great official releases, like Aurora, Enigmatic Ocean, Upon the Wings of Music and King Kong. The sound quality is mostly outstanding, as is the performance.

Don't forget the two phenomenal Mahavsihnu Orchestra records JLP played on, plus Frank Zappa's Hot Rats, etc.
