Kate Bush - 1979-12-25 - Abba X-mas Special

This is a long-known video. However, previously, it always circulated in pretty mediocre shape. It was recently rebroadcast on a BBC2 Christmas Special. I received this clip as an .mpg file. I crafted it into a proper DVD project that you can just burn & view. However, I know there may be a purist or two out there who would like the original file. So, I am sharing both ways. Grab whichever (or both) that you want. Please see the Comments for additional details.

Moo - CD cover art

I stumbled across these art files by accident the other day... For those who downloaded the vinyl transfer (below), you may desire to have some art for your CDs...

Gandalf Murphy - NYC - 2009-10-31 - Pirate Ball - Sets 2 and 3

In this DVD, you'll get to see the Hillbilly and Extraterrestrial sets. Included are songs such as the Floyd's Astronomy Domine. They also cover Across The Universe (Lennon) and several David Bowie songs. The Hillbilly set includes a Dylan song, Yodelling, and a Who cover (?!?). These guys are the best band touring today! Don't miss out!

RW - 1991-10-18 - Seville - Guitar Legends

I believe that this artwork is for a different release of this concert. The DVD that I am sharing contains only the Roger Waters content. The art appears to be for a DVD that contains the entire broadcast.

Gandalf Murphy - Pirate Ball - Set 4

A rather remarkable number of people downloaded Set 1 of this 4 Set night... I honestly would not have guessed that so many of you were into Pirate music!

This is a wonderful set of Gandalf Murphy's own compositions and medleys.. Some very strange stuff, indeed! I'll put the set list in the comments. Suffice to say that Sharkey playing slide mandolin during "Tink" is worth the download all by itself! "Tink" is a love song to the Tinkerbell in all women - and a *rockin* tune! They also cover "Scarecrow" by Mr. Barrett... and they sing a song written about Syd called... "Syd". Absolutely, absolutely worth the price of admission right there.

We also get Moondog House - a very high tempo rockin song for people who prefer dancing about in their underwear to going to church on Sunday morning. There's a "mash-up" of
Riders On The Storm / Billie Jean / Enter Sandman that will have you wondering what kind of strange alternate reality you suddenly entered.

In short - these people know how to throw a party. This set is why this concert is in my top five of all time. Throw this DVD on & turn the volume to 11. Your ears - and your neighbors - will be glad that you did!

PF - 1977-01-23 - Bugger's Eyes

Robyn Hitchcock - Moose Mark

This is a very silly little story told by Robyn Hitchcock. It appears only on a very limited CD as an unlisted "bonus" track. It has never appeared anywhere else, which is a real shame!! It features lots of discussion of Cones, including an appearance by the Prince Of Cones himself!!

Gandalf Murphy - Pirate Ball - Set 1

Some of you nice folks may know that my bride & I recently travelled to New York City to attend Gandalf Murphy's Extraterrestrial Hillbilly Pirate Ball. It was an amazing time!! One of the most incredible shows that I have ever attended. The band did an incredible job and played a 3 and a half hour marathon of a concert - while changing costumes and musical styles for each set. I had professional musicians and music "insiders" gushing to me about this performance. The whole show is a 3-DVD set. So, I won't share it all... But, I was hoping that you might be willing to take a chance and give the first disk a spin. Your ears will love you for the rest of your life. This is the "Pirate" set... Complete with songs like Blackjack David, Cape Cod Girls, and Tell Me Ma.

Robyn Hitchcock - Exploding In Silence

I'm a fan of Robyn's - but I do not claim to be able to keep track of his rather bewildering discography. I searched around online for information on this one & came up essentially empty. These live recordings, so far as I know, have not been reissued elsewhere - so I tend to believe that it is one of his many bootleg releases. Anyone with further information is welcome to leave it in the comments!
