While this is the best version of this show that I have heard, this is not the one advertised. Rather, this is a down-sampled 44.1 kHz version that was only intended for those who wished to burn it for a conventional CD player.

The 48 kHz version should have superior sound.

The conversion from 48kHz to 44.1 kHz is not lossless and has sonic consequences.

I compared the sound of the 44.1 kHz version to the Men of Leisure Music (MoLM) version, both of which are posted here on Just Add Cones. Usually, I like the MoLM remasterings, but here I much prefered the Reeling version, probably because it is from the master, whereas the MoLM version is not. On my scale, the MoLM version is rated B+ while this Reeling version is A-.

Thank you Doc for providing these.
