Notes to the original "Platinum Edition" by Dan Lynch first. My changes are listed at the end. I did about 2 hours work on this, compared to Lynch's 30 hours, so please be sure to credit his work first.

Pink Floyd 1972-09-22 Hollywood Bowl Hollywood, CA USA
Audience Master Reel > DAT (x1) > Sony DTC-A7 > Optical > SoundBlaster > Cool Edit Pro 2.0 > 2 wav files > Soundforge > CDWave > flac frontend (level 7, align sector boundaries)> flac (see complete lineage and editing notes below)

CD2 01 One Of These Days 02 Careful With That Axe, Eugene 03 Echoes 04 A Saucerful Of Secrets 05 Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
Lineage information:
Audience Master Reel recorded by Rob Bertrando: Sony ECM-22P mics > Sony 770 reel deck, 1/4 track 7.5 ips. 40-50 feet back, dead center
DAT Master > Weitzman DAT > Sony DTC-A7 via Optical Cable > Soundblaster > Cool Edit Pro 2.0* > 2 wav files (one per set) > Soundforge 7.0** > CD Wave > Flac Frontend (level 7, align sector boundaries) > flac
*Anthony Theesfeld extracted the DAT and performed minor sound editing with CEP, removing some of the mic noise and other various dropouts and glitches.
**I edited in Soundforge a total of 10 channel drop-outs, mostly the result of mic cable problems, the majority of which were in On the Run. I did this by patching music from the existing channel into the lossed channel. Short fades were applied at the beginning and end of each set. I also speed-corrected (103.751%) each of the two wav files before splitting into individual tracks using CDWave.
The Fireman's Tapes releases were the result of the generous contribution of music by Mike Weitzman*, a volunteer firefighter and first-response rescue worker, to the Pinkroioshn direct connect hub. Thanks, Mike!
This is the speed corrected Fireman's Tape Volume 5. Thank you Dr Forrester for posting this. In my humble opinion, this is the best circulating version of this show.
That's saying a lot, coming from me. I first got a copy of this show on vinyl about 35 years ago, when I lived in Ann Arbor (I believe that's the current city of residence of the good doctor).
I posted a long comment about this concert under one of the other postings today, for Tape 1432, also known as Doinker's Tape. I didn't like that version very much, although it has more tunings between tracks. I also don't like the Platinum Crackers version, because the process of turning it into a matrix ruined it, in my opinion.
If you are looking for guidance on which version has the best sound, I suggest checking YGBC's database. If you would like to compare these versions to what is very likely Harvested's Bowl de Luna Revision A, then you can find the files at the following link, which mistakenly has a pic of Doinker's Tape Box 1432 as provided by Sgt Weatherman. http://qualitybootz.blogspot.com/2010/07/pink-floyd-hollywood-1972-ex-aud-master.html
Note that the text posted on QualtiyBootz is the source lineage for the tape used by Harvested for their Revision A, while the cover pic posted on the blog (and the artwork that downloads) was made by Sgt Weathermnan for the Doinker Tape (box 1432). However, as astutely noted by Beth in a post on that QualityBootz webpage, the music files do not correspond to the artwork.
Thank you again Dr. Forrester for sharing all these versions. I think we can all agree that Just Add Cones and QualityBootz are ultra-fantastic.
Thanks for posting this one. I have the original vinyl 3 disc set on TAKRL. This is definitely an upgrade. Keep up the great work. It is very much appreciated!!
I borrowed the Sony Recorder from a student friend, who was a well known Grateful Dead taping enthusiast at Claremont Colleges) and recorded this concert.
I really have know way of knowing BUT I do know that I recorded this particular concert. The deal was, I could use the Sony to record the concert but the Master Reels were kept by the owner of the Sony Deck. This taper, a Pre Med Student from Claremont Colleges also produced many high quality recordings of Grateful Dead Concerts, I specifically recall, the Hollywood Palladium 1971 Concert, where I was present. He and his close friends also recorded concerts at San Bernardino's Swing, in my presence Auditorium....Leon Russell and Elton John, Poco at UC Riverside....I could go on.

This was not recorded by Rob Bertrando.

Could you elaborate a little more? Are there multiple recorders for this show?
