Roger starts the show by introducing the first number, 'This first tune is dedicated to your Mr.Davis,Chief of Police in this fine city and it's called,Raving and Drooling I Fell On His Neck With A Scream'
Apparently,the LAPD were conducting drug busts during the 4 nights.
Alan, to answer your question, I looked at the YGBC database (downloaded from their website). It states that the best version is the 24 bit/96 kHz, which is rated EX. Your version is a 16 bit/44.1kHz reduction, so not quite as good, probably EX-. Converting from 96 kHz to 44.1 kHz is always somewhat deleterious (it would not be so if converted to 48 kHz, because that does not involve intensive re-interpolation).
The version posted here is said to be a second recorder provided by Doinker and VG+ quality.

1975-04-27 Master AUD reel-to-reel (first time in circulation)
Lineage (audio) master reel-to-reel ->Akai GX-400D SS tape deck ->Sound Forge 6.0 ->FLAC via Flac Frontend, level 6, sectors aligned and verified.
Whoa....I didn't know there were any shows from the April 27th concert in circulation. What a find!
The lineage to the copy I have had for a few years is ;
reel(M)>DAT(2)>FLAC (see notes)
Playback: Tascam DA-20mkII>Waveterminal 2496>CEP (@16-bit, 44.1kHz)>WAV>CD Wave>FLAC
Editing: Normalize, fades
Transfer: Travis Simpson
Is this the same or a different source?

Interesting story,I wonder if it's true.
Cheers,
Alan.
