OK, just another release from 1977-05-09. Did the world really need that? Not sure, but i did. I simply love this recording, this show and always wanted to have it in best possible quality. The first release i owned of this date was "plays the animals" and any of my friend then who had an equalizer had to lend it to me. God know how many attempts it did since. This (I hope) was the last.
superb recording, superb transfer, superb utilities we have today.
This one was basically EQd, detail was enhanced and then it was reduced to 16bit 44.1kHz (because there doesn´t happen anything above 22 kHz on this one).
This one was seeded on the YEESHKUL Tracker in April this Year and now has to find way here...
Creamcheese says "detail was enhanced." I disagree, as I hear less detail. This version is a bit blurry and softened compared to its source: "flac24." If you like equalized tapes with the treble ramped down, creemcheese's will be non-fatiguing and cover up sonic defects of cheap earbuds. If you want the best sounding CD compatible version, I suggest you compare this to the "flac16" version or 'Welconme to the Machine' by Cannonball or 'Fireman's Oakland Remaster."
My future listening sessions will be with the 'Flac24' version. Thanks to Just Add Cones, you have 9 versions to choose from.
