Thank you for providing 3 versions of this terrific show. I compared all 3 to a version by Ayanami called 'The Perfect Day' using "Pigs" as the randomly seletcted test track.

The Lampinski master was the least impressive; the best two were 'Have a Cigar' (HaC) and 'The Perfect Day' (TPD). Looking at several reviews, I found 3 sites that compared these two. Pink Rudy at More Furiousl Madness rated TPD as A+ and HaC as A - the reverse of the order I would rate them. In my opinion, TPD is A-- while HaC is A-. While both are excellent, HaC is better sounding, smoother and better detailed with less distortion.

Two other sites concur with my findings. Pf-db.com had ratings of both versions by Pinkstones, giving TPD an A and HAC an A+ (the reverse of Pink Rudy). The other review states:

Previous releases of this show include The Perfect Day on Ayanami, but ['Have a Cigar' by Cannonball] comes from the complete and unprocessed master that has recently been circulating. It is better sounding and longer than any other and is the definitive version of a spectacular show that is definitely worth having. This is Pink Floyd after touring for several months, so they are extremely tight, but before their frustrations began to surface in the New York concerts the following week.

My recommendation is to turn out the lights and listen to 'Have a Cigar' - you're gonna go far.
