Extraoridinary SQ on this recording. IMO, the SQ on this rates essentially the same as Animal Instincts RevB and the Master RtR but the type of sound is a bit different on each.
Disc 1 (65:23) 1. SHEEP (11:13) 2. PIGS ON THE WING (pt1) (2:15) 3. DOGS (17:28) 4. PIGS ON THE WING (pt2) (3:14) 5. PIGS (TRHEE DIFFERENT ONES) (17:29m) 6. SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND (1-5) (13:44)
Disc 2 (70:13) 1. WELCOME TO THE MACHINE (8:13) 2. HAVE A CIGAR (6:36) 3. WISH YOU WERE HERE (6:08) 4. SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND (6-9) (21:14) 5. MONEY (10:24) 6. US AND THEM (7:39) 7. CAREFUL WITH THAT AXE, EUGENE (9:59)
Great sounding recording. Had this on record back in the 80's. I think it was a 2 LP set with mostly Animals and Wish You Were Here. It was great then and even better now with the full show. Thanks for posting this.
There are 3 versions of this great show that are reputed to be the best. Harvested's 'Animal Instincts Revision B' is available at http://avaxhome.ws/music/rock/art_rock_experimental/pink_floyd_-_animal_instincts__1977-05-09__rev._b.html (Rapidshare mirror links are still active).
'The Fireman's Oakland Remaster' can be found at http://avaxhome.ws/music/format_bitrate/lossless/Pink_Floyd_Oakland_Coliseum_Oakland_CA_1977_Firemans_Oakland_Master.html
HOWEVER, the ultimate version is the 24 bit transfer that I have never seen anywhere except here on Just Add Cones. Unfortunately, the links are dead, so I am humbly requesting a re-post. This merits being available because this show is one of the greatest PF audience tapes ever and a tremendous performance.

I think that the DVD-A version that Front Me a Fin refers to in his/her comment above is the same as the one I referred to in my above comment as the 24 bit version. Dr. Forrester posted that version today under the title "flac24."

Thank you
I will have a look around & will see if I can find it for you, MF. No worries.
There's some excellent sounding versions of this show circulating.
The Doctor has made some of the best ones available here.
But if you can get your hands on the DVD-A version,it'll blow your mind.
Cheers!
