source: excellent FM broadcast. I received this recording as August 27 but many trading lists state this show as August 24.
comment: a fragment presenting the final portion of the concert - Johnny says that "sweet home Chicago" is the last song.

Setlist:

1. rolling & tumbling
2. come on in my kitchen
3. johnny b. goode
4. Mississipi blues [great version, as always]
5. sweet home Chicago [cut the audience cheering out at the very last note played]

And suddenly my excitement is tempered...

I logged on & got all excited seeing all the mid to late 70s JWs filling my screen - all that Joe Walsh is going to be fantastic .... oh .... ah well, Mr. Winter is pretty cool too.

Does anyone have any thoughts on which 3-4 of these concerts would be the best representation of his work? I could download them all but honestly he's not a favorite & I doubt that I'd ever listen to that much of him even over a few years. On the other hand, having 3-4 really great ones on tap for when the mood strikes would be much more likely to be played & really enjoyed.

Thanks for the opinions (& as always, thanks for the hard work Doc)

Your best bet would be to go through the comments and select the FM and SBD shows. I like 1970 and 1978 shows. I have been listening to Johnny since the early days and i tend to download most of the shows except poor quality auds. I stay away from shows where the drunks yell and gossip throughout the concert in the close proximity of the mike.
