Last time I saw a show at La Cigale was in 1990 for a double gig IQ/Magma, so it was a real surprise to be there tonight
and actually note how good this venue is. Honestly I do not recall having such a nice acoustic. I was sitting on the last
few rows but the recording came out fantastic.

Jean-Luc Ponty is simply one of my favourite musicians ever, and since he doesn't tour a lot in Europe, I could not miss
his show here. His last album, The Acatama Experience, is excellent so I was curious to listen to its rendition live. Ponty
is still a master of jazz-rock, no doubt about it. His band was great as well, except that I did not like the new drummer
who joined the band at the beginning of the year. It could be a matter of taste but I did not find his drumming particularly
innovative or special. But the rest of the band was on fire.

This is dedicated to all jazz-rock lovers of the 70's, when Jean-Luc released some of my all-time favourite albums which,
after 35 years, are still on my cd player. Enjoy (I am sure you will!)
