the 1st of Gentle Giant's 2 last shows in Boston touring their album "Civilian", no unusual songs in this show, but one of the better sounding Gentle Giant recordings I've heard and a nice show. The sound is clear, you can hear it all, recorded about 25 feet from center stage in the middle, it's a You are There production.

One of what was to be one of glasnostrd19's 1st 25 upload shows for December 2006 whose files were lost in my dead computer, but saved on glitchless discs, then upload was delayed by port and firewall problems. This show is unedited, except for the tape flip (which was not one of my best splicing jobs but better than just a plain splice) Tape flipped between songs. Nothing is missing at all from this show. I did quite a bit of ICPVR (individual clap peak volume reduction) on this because it was a fairly "clappy" and enthusiastic audience, still is but not as overbearing now, and the clapping is mostly between songs when the band is not playing or talking. If you like Gentle Giant at all, you'll want to hear this. I like them alot, saw them 3x, but this was my only GG master. Wish I'd done it the other 2x in 75, only have partial tapes of those and they were both very good shows. If you're having a Giant spring jones, this should help alot. This was meant to be up for Chanukah 2006. So much for that plan, long story, but at last Gentle Giant in Boston has arrived on the dime. This torrent ends with an announcement that there are 400 people waiting outside to get into the second show, which is probably the only reason there was no second encore. This crowd was really in Giant spirits and gave them a very warm reception "all through the night". Not a weak number in the whole set, all very nicely played and sounding clear to the ear. The only one I know who taped the late show had his master stolen before I could get a copy (same raw deal for Bruford 80 late show) but both of mine survive, so here it is for all to enjoy. a first time master seed.

Thanks much to Doinker for uploading this show while I keep wresting with port and firewall cybernightmares. He is among those with dime who has tried to help me resolve my uploading problems so I could share this and other shows, in the meanwhile as I keep trying to resolve that, a few shows just can't wait any longer for sharing and the 27th anniv. of this very nice show has just recently passed, so in this case the time is good for some more Gentle Giant on the dime. This is partly to say thanks also for the
nice KC 72 upload recently from D. who will be sharing a couple of others from my collection with this one or soon after.

Amazing. My two favorite bands: Genesis and Gentle Giant with back to back multiple posts/shows. Thank you so much for sharing these great live shows!
