At the L.A. Sports Arena in Los Angeles , CA. , USA.


Equipment used : Sony TCD5 Recorder and Sennheiser MKH-404 Microphones.

Lineage : Cass. Master > CD > CDWave > Flac8.

Onkyo TA-RW244 / Harmon Kardon CDR-20 / PC / TLH

CDWave for re-tracking. TLH for Flac 8 - Verified / Aligned / Tested.

Azimuth aligned , No Dolby , EQ or NR was used on this.

I (we) recorded this show from the Loge area at the end of the floor seating , straight back from the stage , 1 section to the right of center , and used TDK SA-C60 tapes.


It is the consensus of the PF collective that this is the same recorder as the "Azimuth Coordinator III".

So.... here you have that un-altered source , from the Master!

It sounds very nice if you can get past the flaws , which I don't have the tech./equip. to repair. Just thought I'd get it out in it's raw form. My guess would be EX+/SUP- , you decide.


Notes :

1 Constant (quick heartbeat) sound in right channel (tape deck transport problem).
2 Left channel microphone dropouts on disc 1.
3 Tracks ID'd with an ** , are in mono , due to #2 above. d1tr07 - "Mother" is (stereo/mono/stereo).
4 Paused the tape during the "Curtains on Fire" from the fireworks deal.
5 All tape flips were between tracks , only missing a second or two.

Pretty good opening show, AUD A- (maybe B+/A-, a little "quiet" at least with headphones, I had the volume on the computer turned all the way up and it still wasn't loud enough), definitely worth getting if you don't have the show. Thank you very much Dr. Forrester!
