PINK FLOYD
OAKLAND COLISEUM
OAKLAND CA APR, 22 1988

A Day in the Rain

This is a new source.

Finally, the one I've been waiting to release. This show
was recorded with a pair of rented Schoeps MK4 mics (thx
Gasser Audio in SF) for use at a photographer's studio. Do
you tink they would have rented them if we had said we our
studio was centerfield at the Oakland Coliseum in the rain?
With a little help the PCM F-1, SL2000 Beta, 2 Batteries,
Mics, Cables and Blanks were brought in back stage. Not a
perfect recording by any means. A few instances where the
levels were too hot and One of these Days is chopped up due
to cable problems, but that said it is one of the few
digital recordings of Pink Floyd from this tour. We were
set up in the center section in front of the soundboard
and the sound is real good.

Master recording was transferred using a PCM-501ES/SL2000 Beta
into Tascam CD-RW700 CD Recorder->Wav->Flac.

It seems to be missing SOYCD. Still sounds great though. It's funny to hear the mic bumps etc., you can tell the taper is trying to keep everything under control & dry. Thanks Doctor.
