LDB Special Series #94

Out of my 7,000+ shows and radio broadcasts, I have many concerts that were special for some reasons: the setlist, the
musicians, the venue or unexpected events. These are the ones I'd like to propose you. Most of these come from my
cassettes collection, so they will be released at a slower pace than my Master Series! But you won't be disappointed!
I will try to gather the most unusual things I have in my collection and, as always, your feedback and comments will be my
reward for all the work involved in this project.

Just before entering the studio to record the 'Nude' album, Camel did a surprise gig in The Netherlands, where they had been
enjoying a remarkable success. The new tracks were ready and demoed, so they took the opportunity to present them to the
audience for the very first time. Since there is a nice flood of Camel shows here, I thought I would share a special one here.

The show is very enjoyable and although not taped with the best equipment, the sound is solid for a 28 years old recording,
something around the 8/10 mark. The band is is good shape and Latimer at his best. They also played a couple of blues covers
at the end of the show, which is something Camel never did in his career.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the large handful of Camel shows over the past couple of days. I had a couple of them already but as MP3 & am quite glad to replace them with a lossless version.

I'm also very glad that storage is so incredibly cheap these days. I can see with this great new project my drives will be filling up with incredible music. As someone who remembers paying a LOT of money for a 20mb hard drive (& thinking that I'll never fill that up...), the idea of a 2tb drive for $100 just blows my mind.

So, thanks for ensuring that all that storage capacity gets put to good use & also that my kids are going to get a good grounding in what music should really sound like :-)

I remember paying a LOT of money for a 512 KB floppy disk. Sometimes, you could get 2 whole games onto one!

If you want (and this goes for everyone out there) to mail a 1 TB (or larger) drive to me, I'll just copy all of these shows onto it & pop it back into the mails for you.

Thank you very much for this really fine gem. Many greetings from the town with the big church about 35 kilometers south of your hometown ;-))
All the best for you
