Dixie Dregs Toad's Place New Haven, Ct. 1979 (date unknown) performance quality: B+ recording quality: B source: 1st generation audience tape runtime: 75:12 setlist: 1: tuning 2: ? 3: ? 4: ? 5: I'm freaking out 6: patchwork 7: night of the living dregs 8: what if... 9: punk sandwich 10: the wabash 11: cruise control comments: I don't know the month or day this concert happened, it's not listed in etree but it's getting hot, nearing 4th of July, so whaddup with all my British posting? Okay, I'm addicted to U.K. bands, maybe about 60% of all my listening, but The British don't observe July 4 as a holiday. This is an American tradition, and it's time for some Americana, maybe progressive rock, jazz rock fusion, actually the Dixie Dregs are country rock fusion. Another category not found on dimeadozen. Someone asked me for some Steve Morse, so here's some really good Steve Morse. A nice aud from the Night of the Living Dregs tour, one of their better ones from the days with Rod Morgenstein sounding very good on the drums. I've got Steve Morse from 1977 up to 1990 to share on dime, and it's all got hot guitar. If anyone can help with date and 3 song titles, would be appreciated. Don't know if this is whole show or not, if anything is missing it's the end because what's here is complete. This is how I got it. Hope you like it. I think you will. I have balanced the levels and spliced a couple of edits together, otherwise this is an unaltered raw from 1st gen. of master transfer. There is an officially released disc recorded at Sigma Studio in Phila. Pa. (which is quite good btw) and this material is similar songs as that from a different performance, probably not too long before or after that official Phila. show..
