I wish I could tell you all what an EXC+ recording this is. But things did
not go too well. I wanted to use the Nak 300's only to find that I had
cables that had 1/4 inch ends....at my seat! Sprint to the car and back
with the DPA 4022's that have built in cables (xlr's). 6 minutes after the
show started. I was going to move two seats over to the sweet spot but now
it was too late. Then the talking by six people right in front of me, the
kind when person #1 is talking to #6. Right to my left the same. And whistling
behind me that needed earplugs. How you can not be glued to the stage with
what a spectacle his shows are I can't understand. All around me people getting
up and leaving for whatever! I DID NOT HAVE LISTENERS AROUND ME! The recording
does have some nice smooth analog moments. It was hardly worth the trouble
bringing in the cinder block recorder. I have been wanting to learn to do a
sample, so I did my first one on this torrent. It was not too easy picking
the moment for that. My tracking suffered as well. Other then hearing this very
low on the headphones dropping it down, I have not heard it cranked. But I
am looking forward to it. Damn talking!!
