We're Done

Looks like we've had 2 files reported as being violations. One was a Men Of Leisure release. The other was a LZ release. Both are audience recordings.

That's about 2.5 TB of material on HFile that has gone away. It's madness.

Hope you all have good lives!

No fun. Thanks for sharing the music here. I heard a lot of nice things that wouldn't have otherwise found their way to my ears.

I'll still be out here if you find the emotional energy to resume this activity in some form.

Dear Dr.F.

first a big thank for all you share free with us.
I think, you can restart your blog whatever you want to share but as a private site.
I enjoyed so much of Zep recording and Floyd recordings too from your site. Let me tell you, you're the Best.
So please, don't give up for any reason or people who still want to profit of audience recording..
All the best for you and your family, think about private site, and good luck!

My kind regards, Kike.

WOW! This is madness. I don't know what's going on in this world anymore. It was a good life, but short. Please let everyone know if you ever start a new blog. You were the best! Thank you for everything!

Bunch 'o crap. Thanx for everything.

Wow. I don't think it was just you. It looks like hotfile went apesh@t this morning. Sorry you got hit too. Thanks for all the work you've done. My ears are in your debt.

I hear you doc. I lost 600 gigs when they took mega down. They have destroyed direct downloading and I expect they will do the same with torrenting. These so called democracies we live in are nothing more than corporate fascist states. Due process is an inconvenience to them. Things are going to get a whole lot worse as these corporate cretins continue to tighten the noose around our necks while blathering about freedom and democracy.
Thank you for all the great music you've shared over the years!

best of luck to you all...

Yes it sucks, but it was worth it.

Such is the nature of file sharing.

Get another company to host your files and start the fun all over again.

This is really unfortunate.

Your blog is a must for Pink Floyd fan such as me.

We all appreciate very much your dedication and hard work.

Merci beaucoup pour tout!

First of all: Thanks for everything !

I enjoyed all the nice Floyd recordings very much, some of them difficult to find anywhere else.

Yes, it's a mad world :-(

Please let us know when and where you start all over again....

If you do start again, know that there are those who are willing to assist in re-loading what was lost. Thank You for everything that you've provided for us.

Thank you for all your time & trouble. It's a serious f**king shame that various blogs are being chased into corners & exterminated out of existence by a bunch of greedy self-serving lawyers acting on behalf of companies as opposed to artists...hope to see you surface somewhere else, sometime else - as Fagin said, you can go but be back soon - don't forget now that we'll miss you...

Dr. Forrester, you have been so incredibly generous that no one should find fault if you hang it up. My friends and I have derived immeasurable enjoyment listening to your posts. Someday our children and their grandkids and their great great grandchildren will be listening to recordings of Zep, Floyd, Camel and many other great bands that came from you. You have advanced music and by extension humanity around the globe. Best wishes.

This is so cheap.

I always had the impression that you were very careful not to post official releases on any form. What these people of the recording industry do not get is that blogs like yours get people interested in the work of artist. This is certainly my case. You got me interested again in Pink Floyd. I bought (for the second and third times) many of their recordings because of your blog.

I can't believe how stupid EMI are, sitting on so many Pink Floyd live recordings and doing nothing with them. Why they have not release complete gigs of each Pink Floyd tour is pure stupidity.

Let us know what ever you decide to do.

Long live Just Add Cones.

Damn! There was so much still to explore on your site. Thanks for all your effort. It sucks that it got flushed away in one fell swoop!

For the first time in my life...
I am heartbroken over a ballet.
I have parts 1-4. But the best part is that a month and a half ago the 'Breathe's series started panting and the race was on...and it became overwhelming. What the heck was this avalanche of pink snow? I was almost tempted to take it all for granted and "put it off til tomorrow". What a mistake that would have been. It is really inspirational to think of how much work the good Doc has put into our enjoyment of 'this' band(not to mention all the other connoisseur items he offers for other bands). Will winter ever be that pink again? Brrrrrrrr!
Will the band be able to recover?
(I bet HotFile's servers are fast tonight).
Anyway, I learned my lesson...
about ballets, anyway...

This really sux. I had a long way to go to get all the PF boots I wanted. And I'm sure there are others who did too. But it really sux for Dr. Forrester, because they've taken away something he loves doing. Sharing great music with all of us.

I also want to say a BIG THANK YOU!! for your willingness to share your incredible collection.

Unfortunately the Mega-Upload disaster is having an impact on many legimate sites and file sharing services.

I hope you can continue with this blog and post tunes such as Gandolf Murphy (I am not familiar with his stuff) and others from your collection.

Here's hoping to being included on the invitation list!

Best Wishes-Jimmy

I stupidly read 2.5 TB as GB! Jesus, that's insane. That must have taken so much time in uploading and everything. So sorry .. would be such a shame if you weren't around, it's certainly been an education to say the least.
