Alice Cooper - Southampton Guildhall, UK 25th July 2008
01. It's Hot Tonight 02. No More Mr. Nice Guy 03. Under My Wheels 04. I'm Eighteen 05. Is It My Body 06. Woman Of Mass Distraction 07. Lost In America 08. Feed My Frankenstein 09. Be My Lover 10. Dirty Diamonds 11. Muscle Of Love 12. Desperado 13. Halo Of Flies (inc. drum solo) 14. Welcome To My Nightmare 15. Cold Ethyl 16. Only Women Bleed 17. Steven 18. Dead Babies 19. Ballad Of Dwight Fry 20. Devils Food/Killer/I Love The Dead 21. School's Out 22. Billion Dollar Babies 23. Poison 24. Elected
Lineage: Sony ECM-717>Yamaha Pocketrak 2G>USB>Soundforge>dBpoweramp Music Converter. Volume boosted in Soundforge but no EQ used.
The Guildhall is a 'mare of a venue soundwise. It's an old, ornate municipal building that is basically a concrete rectangle with a high ceiling, the majority of gigs I've attended there sounded terrible. The trick is to keep the volume down and happily Alice's crew knew this so the sound was pretty damned good, not great but good.
The Psycho-Drama Tour continues with the same set-list as last year which is pretty odd when there's a new album out this week! No complaints though, it's a fantastic greatest hits set and it's a well drilled stage show, the hanging was a little more convincing this time. I only hope that he plays the south of England again next year with the Along Came a Spider tour.
