PF - A Saucerful Of Secrets - a different Mono Edition

This is a different Mono transfer, done by Sgt Weatherman. Here are his notes - I recorded it using a AKAI AP-81 record deck, JVC AK-100 amp (so old it was made in Japan), through a Creative Audigy2 sound card then compiled it with Audio DVD Maker. Its A PAL DVD Audio (not an audio DVD, don't know how to do that). It not a mint LP I have owned it for over 40 years (bought the day it was released) but it sound pretty good and sounds better than any version of of the STEREO mix and better than the Odeon MONO Boot (rather muddy sound)

Hi Dr....and Hi Sgt...

Let me see if I understood...this it's a typical DVD-Video (and not a DVD-Audio) right?

and has a superb transfer to DVD to keep the quality, over the one we get of a regular reedbok CD, right?

THNAKs to both of you,

goa (the same of Y! if you has ant doubt  )

There is content in the VIDEO_TS folder only. So, yes, this is a typical DVD-Video project that can be played using any typical player. DVD-Audio projects have files in the AUDIO_TS folder. This one does not.

The DVD shows photos of the Early Floyd for each song. Each photo has the appropriate lyrics over it, so you can sing along, I suppose. B-)

So far as I know, there is no cover art available for this project.

Thanks a lot for this - sounds very nice

Dr - what do you use to extract/burn nrg's? I am a pretty competent user but have not been able to find out a way without Nero or MagicISO

Thanks

I just burned a DVD using Nero. .nrg is a Nero image file. I then copied the files from the DVD and reupped normally. I made it available both ways so you can have it in whichever format pleases you.

Thanks
I really do appreciate you doing that for this project

I was inquiring because I've received two boots recently that are nrg's - And I have no need for nero other than that. I suppose I will just pony up

Did I mess up downloading or does this cut off the end of "Jugband Blues" when Syd comes back on with his acoustic and sings "the sea isn't green and I love the queen..."?

Warning to everyone:
the .nrg image file is useless on a dvd once you've burned it.
I'm sorry to say that Dr. Weatherman put the VIDEO_TS folder inside another folder so no dvd player can play it. And you can't do a thing about it, because the only way to use a .nrg file is to burn it. The dvd can only be readed from a computer.
Sorry
