Intertesting! Could this be half of a quadraphonic mix? At times mix varies from sounding quite dry to lots of reverb and some vocal sections are suddenly more distant as though they are being panned around? Also bits missing from money intro could have been in the missing part of the quad mix?
this sounds to me like a harder mix of the album, as opposed to the "softer" one that was released.. the quad mix would be excellent! please post if you are able!!
Not from the SACD, not from the Quad, not from a Trance, not from an acetate. Sorry. This is something altogether different. Wish I could give out the details... But, I can't.
I have not listened to this yet but judging from your comments this looks to be the same DSOTM mix that was put up on a few PF torrent sites but quickly removed when it was found to just be someone monkeying around with the album through an equalizer.Parts are missing bacause certain frequencies are turned off . Archangel (yeeshkul)
Or maybe a first mix of the finished recordings? Some of it sounds unfinished - the spoken parts sound a bit on top of the mix and haven't been reverbed. Also the Hammond organ on Breathe 2nd verse sounds rawer and more up front and the backing vocals on Us & Them/Braindamage are more dominant than the lead vocal? Intriguing!
It's the regular album which someone has mixed .There's horrible topping out on the Time solo where they have the echo filter and reverb to high.It fits the retail release spectrum perfect .It's just someone messing aroung .this is fake.
How about the extra interview in Great Gig In The Sky?? I do agree that the mix is a bit rough what with the "topping out" and all and then the volume increase before Brain Damage. I don't think the regular albulm was the base though.

Not listened to this yet, but knowing your undoubted adherence to quality, it should be at the very least, interesting. As always, thanks.
Can you provide anymore details on this one?

I do have the Quad Mix here if you'd like to have it.
But, as for this mix, no it does not come from the Quad Mix.

is there a way to tell us without telling us??
perhaps is a pre-final mix mix?
