The Day They Ate Brick; The Legendary Radar Sessions

Brick
I don't know how many people out there still remember the days when record shops existed and sold records.  Finding any particular record was sometimes a hassle.  You couldn't just order a record from Europe.  You had to go to a special Import Record Store, where they'd happily charge you double what you'd pay for a domestic record.  Bootleg records were something so rare and special that they were almost magical.  Every once in a while, you's see one for Pink Floyd or The Beatles or Dylan or Led Zeppelin - the big names.  But, a bootleg for a smaller player like Robyn Hitchcock...  Well, you really needed a special connection to find something like that.

I have been waiting patiently for a long time now for high-quality transfers of Robyn's bootleg vinyl to emerge from the ether.  But, it just hasn't happened.  So, I've decided to take the plunge.  I will be posting a new Robyn Hitchcock bootleg every day or two for a week or thereabouts.  Please do grab them.  Please share them on your favorite trackers, hubs, cheese shops, and sex clubs.

These are 24/96 resolution transfers.  If you want to burn a CD, you'll need to convert to 16/44.  I have tried to include decent cover art, which is to say that I know the heartbreak of getting images that are only a few KB.  I've gone to some lengths to make sure that you'll get something worth looking at.

Hope you like'em!

Hey Doc,

This is a BUNCH of cool RH / Soft Boys stuff.

Did you know all the Wetransfer files are caput? That's the way it looks from my end, anyway.

Would you please consider re-upping "The Day They Ate Brick" and some other of these gems?

Can't believe I'm just a coupla weeks too late.

Cheers!

The first Robyn-related bootleg I ever had (or one of them, actually! I may have had the Maxwells 45 first). To my ears, these are still THE go-to versions for "Sandra's Having Her Brain Out" and "Pigworker", bar none.

Thanks for including the great liner notes from Bucketful of Brains!!
