Yes October 01, 1978 (Sunday) Tarrant County Convention Center Fort Worth, Texas, USA
Lineage: Cassette > CDR (pioneer standalone burner) > Audioscribe (secure extraction back in 2000 or so) > Sound Studio (tracking, boost volume) > AIFF > CDR1 > xACT (secure extraction, verify sector boundaries, FLAC level 8, generate checksum) > dime > You
Another from the vast library of Bill B. Great stereo separation, or fabulous mono? You tell me! Clearly low gen-- wish I knew the recording setup. Anyway, another fine tape from '78! A really inspired Starship trooper and Jon mentions that it was a day in the sun "of the sun?" which makes me think it was an outside or afternoon show. Huge applause for CoH, a tape flip loses part of the Fish, and it comes back in during the Survival part, Starship Trooper has a funny intro, "For all you stargazers and space travelers, hurtling through space at incredible speeds..." (heh) and another tape flip at the beginning of Rick's solo. The audience REALLY loves their Wakey still..... a really great reading of Awaken, very different from the other CA ones I've heard. this one has it all and I'll bet it really kept 'em happy. You can hear some really excited Texans at the beginning and end, anyway.
