Hm, it's quite interesting to read on the DVD-cover that Nassau Colisseum is in Los Angeles (where PF should play on February 27th 1980)...;-)

Really thanks for this post, it seems to be very interesting.

Hello,I'm just curious about the overall quality of the film on this DVD. In comparison to any other filmed performance of "The Wall" from that era of 1980 - how does it rate?

I ask, because the Wall from Earls Court in '80 was to me a little dissapointing. The quality wasn't as good as I'd hoped.

Is this THEE one to own?
If not - What is the best filmed performance of The Wall from the original Wall tour?

I really would appreciate anyones comments on this.

As always,Thankyou to Dr.Forrester for this brilliant site, and his generosity.

Cheers,The Doctor ;)

I have only 2 shows from The Wall tour on video - this one and Earl's Court. Of them, Earl's Court is absolutely the superior film.

Apparently, a rather extensive amount of Wall footage exists in LA. But, Roger's just not been keen to put it out. Bummer.

You may also be interested in the Lost Documentary. It's available here on JAC. Just use the search window on the top left of the page.

Thank you very much Dr. Forrester for posting this gem. Now I can finally upgrade my poor quality avi file of this gig!

Many other Floydians diss this video, and praise the Earls Court one, but no matter how well shot that footage is, it does not give you the feeling of actually sitting in the audience and watch the greatest show on Earth...Nassau does it.

Just lean back, give it another perspective, forget the dark colours, the raw hissy sound and enjoy!
It'll be an unforgettable experience, nearly as good as the Earls Court one!
