The 17th Gig of the British Winter Tour 1974 recorded in front of a boisterous crowd in Manchester. This is the whole show from the first of two nights at the Palace Theater in Manchester.
After their succesful introduction in the Summer Tour, Dick Parry and The Blackberries (Venetta Fields & Carlena Williams) again joined the band for the tour providing Saxophone and Backing Singing respectively.
In my opinion this is a decent recording of a decent gig .... nothing spectacular, and not as good as the recent Harvested release from the BBC Recording of November 16th '74 .... nonetheless the development of Raving & Drooling and You've Gotta Be Crazy is very interesting to hear in their pre-Animals versions.
Shine On You Crazy Diamond played as one long track isn't too shabby either!!
Enjoy the music and please do not distribute in a lossy format or try to make money from this recording.
Have Fun,
