Here
Kip Addotta came from nowhere to center stage of the novelty song world with "Wet Dream", a lengthy narration filled to the gills with nautical puns. It was a huge hit on the Dr. Demento show & has seen several official releases on novelty compilations. His follow-up effort was called "Life In The Slaw Lane". It's a similar lengthy narration - filled, this time, with puns about vegetables. It was not the rousing success that his first effort had been.
I dug through my vast archives to find my copy of People Weekly from July 14, 1986, which featured a nice two page article about Mr. Addotta. It mentions his 6-ft inflatable Godzilla and that his next song would be about colors. As far as I know, it never happened.
You get the video from a U-matic source. It's not perfect, but it's almost certainly the best version that you'll ever find. I actually own an original LP of "Life In The Slaw Lane". It's hard to believe that it was almost 30 years ago ....
