My computer has decided to take a vacation, probably permanently. My drives are all safe - and duplicated. Had to rescue several already to provide today's posts. Sadly, these posts will also be the last until a more permanent solution can be found; I hate using laptops. They are just ... you know... inherently evil.
So, take a break, catch up on some downloads, browse the archives, and chill for a few days. I'll be back ASAP.

Future Things
Well, that wraps it up for JW. Just in case you were counting, there are 56 GB of JW concerts listed below. Compare this with some 26 GB of KC material coming soon, 32 GB of Lou Reed, 123 GB of Pink Floyd, 155 GB of Roger Waters, 56 GB of SRVaughan, 95 GB of Yes, and, seriously, over 300 GB of LZ. There will be lots & lots of other strange bands as well. Should be enough to keep you amused for a little while.

Jeff Beck - 2005-06-26 - Meltdown Songs of Experience
This is a short tribute set. Check out the set list in the comments. It may prepare you somewhat for the artist that will be up next...

Jean-Luc Ponty - 1976 - UCLA
This is an interesting case. This artist must have a devoted following, because there are so many recordings available. However, it seems that his audience are really bad spellers. I don't think that any two of the concerts had his name spelled the same. I did what others before me should've done - I looked the fellow up & changed all of the folders to list his name in the same way. Now, if wikipedia has gotten this fellow's name incorrect, please let me know.

Chaos' Last Day
When digital cameras were first available on the consumer market, my place of employment got one. It cost something like $400. It could only hold 16 photos at a time before it's memory was full. Each photo was about 1 MB, so you could only get 1 photo onto a 3.5" floppy. I took the thing home one weekend and took some photos of my idiot cats. The above was my favorite photo of the bunch. The cat, Chaos, reminded me of a Jaws movie poster.
This is another photo of Chaos, taken quite a few years later. He's in a house that I built for him, guarding a bunny toy that my daughter made for him.
Chaos reached Last Day yesterday. I took him to Carousel and cheered for him to Renew.
More tunes tomorrow.
