Johnny Winter .... September 9, 1989 San Francisco Blues Festival; Fort Mason, California, USA
torrent size: 8 tracks; 53:35 minutes; ~317MB flacs, etc. Quality: vg+/ex- AUD recording Source: AUD (master)> CDR> (wav) EAC (secure mode)> (flac) Flac Frontend level 6 (align on sector boundaries) Artwork: none included, but an artwork contribution would be very much appreciated, by all. Taper, Trade, & Transfer: DJC (California). Thank You!!
source & remarks: A good show that was shortened for no apparent reason. After "stranger blues" Johnny was called in the backstage for a few seconds and returns to stage to play the last song (not counting the encore) for Tom's & Jeff's surprise. The virtually complete audio recording is a very good to excellent soundboard one - the open-air venue has not an excellent acoustic. My video recording is an audience sourced, some generations from the master tape. Has many cuts (see bellow) but capture some details and the MC announcements, absent on the audio recording. That's the reason the video recording has 10 chapters, the first chapter is labeled as "introduction".
Setlist (from Francsico's site):
1. succotash [Johnny dress his jacket during Tom's solo due to a cool wind] 2. I'm good 3. don't take advantage of me 4. love me with a feeling 5. serious as a heart attack 6. mojo boogie> stranger blues 7. boot hill 8. it's all over now
