Johnny Winter .... May 25, 1973 Hollywood Palladium, Los Angeles, California, USA
torrent size: 11 tracks; 78:53 minutes; ~493MB flacs, etc. Source: AUD> cassette tape ??unknown gen??> CDR> (wav) EAC (secure mode)> (flac) Flac Frontend level 6 (align on sector boundaries) Artwork: none included, but an artwork contribution would be very much appreciated, by all. Transfer: Francisco Silva (Brasil). Thank You!!
Francisco's source & remarks: fine audience recording, a very good one for 1973 standard. This recording is some generations from the reel-to-reel masters, not from the vinyl source. There is another guitar player on the band, I couldn't identify (would be Doug Brockie?), almost no mention to him. Only just before last song Johnny tells something that he (the second guitarist) did the sax solo on the previous number. The band on this tour was Randy Jo Hobbs on bass, Richard Hughes on drums and sometimes Suzan Warford (now Winter, Johnny's wife) showed with a tambourine. People who attended 73's shows say there were a 2nd guitarist (would be Doug Brockie) and even a 2nd drummer (would be Jimmy Gillen). Same concert of the bootleg "Live 1973 Hollywood Palladium" Although the cover do not list "talk to your daughter", this song do is in the LP.
JAJ (roryglzep) comment: I remember when Francisco used both my CDR & cassette versions for comparison, etc. Francisco ended up using my cassette tape version, as it was not from the LP boot source. He remastered as usually, & did a great job, I might add.
Set List:
1. rock me baby 2. can't you feel it 3. rock'n'roll hoochie koo 4. black cat bone 5. rock & roll [12+ minutes version, with slide guitar jam] 6. too much seconal 7. jumpin' jack flash 8. johnny b. goode 9. crossroads 10. talk to your daughter [with a saxophone solo! By the second guitarist???] 11. roll over Beethoven
