Johnny Winter .... February 24, 1979 My Father's Place, Roslyn, New York, USA
Torrent size: 10 tracks; 84:26 minutes; ~451MB flacs, etc. Quality: vg+/ex- SBD Source: SBD> cassette tapes ??unknown gen??> CDR> (wav) EAC (secure mode)> (flac) Flac Frontend level 6 (align on sector boundaries) Artwork: none included, but an artwork contribution would be very much appreciated, by all. Transfer & Remaster: Francisco Silva (Brasil). Thank You!!
Francisco's comments: source: very good soundboard recording. Johnny's voice is low on the mix. comment: with special guest of Tommy Shannon. There would be a rock'n'roll song (maybe "let's have a party) after "bony moronie", but after the initial chords, the song is cut out on recording.
JAJ (roryglzep) comment: I sent Francisco both my cassette tapes & CDR versions (both received in seperate trades). I remember Francisco putting a fair amount of work into this recording. He remastered it, but removing like six total minutes of silence, & pitch correcting the recording. Many, many thanks for all his hard work & efforts!!!!
Setlist:
1. hideaway 2. rock & roll [great slide solo] 3. she moves me 4. highway 61 revisited [with Tommy on bass and Jon Paris on harmonica] 5. bony moronie 6. drum solo 7. bony moronie [closing section; Johnny on bass & Jon on guitar] 8. messin' with the kid [with a small cut in the middle] 9. be careful with a fool 10. Carol [cut short in 5 minutes and a half]
