==> Excellent Soundboard <==
First off: thanks to Lamplight and Ragsrobby for the original upload! This is a wonderful quality soundboard show, a real gem! It surfaced for the first time about 2 years ago. Upon listening I thought the sound had a lot of potential if only it would be tweaked a little. So I used Cool Edit Pro 2.1 to expand the stereo field and equalize and normalize the levels. To my ears it's a drastic improvement. But I'll let you be the judge of that. For those having the original, let me know what you think of it. FLAC Frontend was used for decoding and encoding (level 8) the files.

Uncirculated Soundboard
As I promised, an un-circulated KANSAS show from 1982's VINYL CONFESSIONS tour! This show is HOT - HOT - HOT! Fantastic quality and performance! This show was given to my friend and me by someone close to the band. It was on a cassette (not sure what brand, but a good MAXELL or TDK-something like that) It was recorded right from the soundboard on July 24, 1982 in Norman, Oklahoma. The only thing that is disappointing is that the last song of the encores is cut off.. (The end of "Down The Road" and the "Mangum Opus" segment.) I looked through my cdr collection for a version to add as a bonus so you would have it, but the only version I have transfered is the version from Omaha, Nebraska which has been released on the SONY video, so it is off limits here. (I tried!)
My friend (ragsrobby - a new DIME member) took the tape and did the cd mastering with SOUNDFORGE onto 2 cds. (A very nice sounding tape to begin with, and he did a great job of mastering it!) I used SOUNDFORGE to rip it and title the tracks, FLACfrontend 8 to encode and 2 cups of great coffee to pass the time while converting... This is a great show! We hope you enjoy it!! Lamplight and Ragsrobby Sorry, there is no artwork - hint hint...
PLEASE DON'T SELL COPIES, OR REDUCE THE QUALITY! KEEP IT LOSSLESS!!!!
