Live Improvs vol.7 (1995-2003) Norway, Japan, England & USA (DAUD)


Vol.7 is a battle in atmospheriKcs between the Double Duo (odd tracks) and the Double Trio (even tracks). The campaign begins in Oslo with an opening soundscapes that hurdles it's way over the Atlantic to Asheville and Washington DC. What's interesting about DC Virtuous Circle is that Belew plays an uncharacteric solo and the band moves into improv mode. I can't say for certain, but this may be due to equipment failure as I don't hear Fripp during this improv. So, what projeKct would this be considered?

Although this volume includes a bit more struKctured material then previous sets, what cannot be argued is this band's ability to push the music to the outer bounds and effortlessly find a way back again no matter who is at the wheel. Nothing on this compilation has been released officially (yet) and should be considered DIME-friendly (for now);
