Roger Waters 09-06-2006 Dark Side of the Moon Tour PNC Bank Arts Center Holmdel, NJ First show in U.S. for this tour. Went off with barely a hitch, just 1 instance of feedback for 1-2 seconds at one point in the second set. This was Rogers 63rd birthday and the crowd sings Happy Birthday when he announces that. I read that people heckled Roger due to anti-U.S. government statements he made and that they chanted "U.S.A., U.S.A.!" at the end of Leaving Beirut but I did not hear it at the concert and it is not audible on this recording. There was a full moon and the pig launch is set nicely in front of the moon. Sony DCR-DVD92 Located equidistant between 2 speakers hanging from roof of pavillion, about 30 yards from the speakers. Majority of the video is of screen set up for people on the lawn, also hanging from roof of the pavillion, about 30 yards from the screen. video attruibutes: MPEG-2 720X480 NTSC 4:3 29.97 fps 9400 kbs audio: Dolby Digital 2 channel stereo 48000 Hz, 256 kb/s Set 1 1. Crowd/Radio 2. In The Flesh? 3. Mother 4. Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun 5. SOYCD (1-3) 6. Have A Cigar 7. Wish You Were Here 8. Southhampton Dock 9. The Fletcher Memorial... 10. Perfect Sense (Pts. 1 + 2) 11. Happy Birthday Roger 12. Leaving Beirut 13. Sheep TT: 1:21:56 Known flaws and issues: No known technical flaws Disc changes at start of SOYCD and at start of Perfect Sense- appx 5 secs missing from each Battery change a few seconds into Sheep- appx 10 -15 secs missing There is a lot of crowd noise throughout. More bothersome at some points than others but I still find this an enjoyable listen. Hopefully better audio will circulate and then this can be upgraded. I haven't seen anything from the Europe dates so at least there's this from the tour until other stuff comes along. Feel free to make a cover and post it if you want to. EZ -
