Alright Yeah (German version)

Here

The English language version appeared on "Moss Elixir".  The Swedish language version appeared on "Mossy Liquor".  The German language version, for whatever peculiar reason, appeared only as a flexi-disk.  Once again, Hitchcock collectors are taunted and tempted..

A Dub Narcotic Encoded Melodic Device

This single was only sold in the Olympia, WA area.  Just try to keep that vinyl collection complete now!

The Day They Ate Brick; The Legendary Radar Sessions

Brick
I don't know how many people out there still remember the days when record shops existed and sold records.  Finding any particular record was sometimes a hassle.  You couldn't just order a record from Europe.  You had to go to a special Import Record Store, where they'd happily charge you double what you'd pay for a domestic record.  Bootleg records were something so rare and special that they were almost magical.  Every once in a while, you's see one for Pink Floyd or The Beatles or Dylan or Led Zeppelin - the big names.  But, a bootleg for a smaller player like Robyn Hitchcock...  Well, you really needed a special connection to find something like that.

I have been waiting patiently for a long time now for high-quality transfers of Robyn's bootleg vinyl to emerge from the ether.  But, it just hasn't happened.  So, I've decided to take the plunge.  I will be posting a new Robyn Hitchcock bootleg every day or two for a week or thereabouts.  Please do grab them.  Please share them on your favorite trackers, hubs, cheese shops, and sex clubs.

These are 24/96 resolution transfers.  If you want to burn a CD, you'll need to convert to 16/44.  I have tried to include decent cover art, which is to say that I know the heartbreak of getting images that are only a few KB.  I've gone to some lengths to make sure that you'll get something worth looking at.

Hope you like'em!

Pete Seeger - 1970

Very unfortunately, our Uncle Pete has passed on. It really does boggle the mind when you think about the length of his career and the strength of his convictions. He never did just walk the walk.

This is a short film from 44 years ago that doesn't circulate as much as it should. Imagine that he was 50 years old at the time & loving every moment of it.

A Little Celebration

This interesting little guy turned up at the birthday celebration of the wife of a friend of ours. Bask in the wonderous glory of it all through a few updated Robyn Hitchcock posts -

Live Death
Exploding In Silence
Unhatched Crablings
Uncarved Pumpkins
Demons & Fiends

Zendik Orgaztra - Strontium Rain

Here

I have *no* idea how I ended up with this in the collection.  But, I have to say, having given it a listen, it's very trippy indeed..

Barretts vs High-Jackers

Here

I have recently been digging through the Deep Archives & have come up with a number of really weird items that I will share in the coming days.  This first one is a mail-order item.  The first side of the cassette is entirely Barrett covers.  The second side is full of covers of a variety of other psychedelic bands.  Some of the editing is a little haphazard.  But, some of the covers are pretty creative.

David Gilmour - 1992-07-28 - BBC Radio One

The previous post made me want to seek out the full radio broadcast that first revealed the demos to the punters.  These days, the demos of Money and Comfortably Numb are available in better quality (and more complete) in the Immersion box sets, and the Learning To Fly and Like A Rolling Stone demos are slightly better quality on "Secret Rarities Rev.A".

I haven't heard this one in years & years...  Gives me great pleasure to be able to share it here.

Phish - 1998-10-27 - Letterman

Here - Tape 1
Here - Tape 2

I recorded this on more than 1 tape.  I have included transfers of both tapes here, just in case you prefer one over the other.

Weird Al - There Is No Going Home

Part 2

Muppet Family Christmas

When this title was officially released on DVD, for whatever reason, they left out 4 songs!  Here are the missing pieces that you will need to edit back in to get the complete Holiday Special.

George Carlin on Dennis Miller - 1997

Here

Yes another gem from an unlabelled VHS tape.  Very glad to have this one again.

RW - Mimzy - VH1

Here

Found this little thing on an unlabelled VHS tape.  This little segment was followed by the full "music video", but it was exactly the same as the version that's on the official DVD, so I didn't think there was any point in including it here.
