Thank you very much for these UKs. Looks like a mixture of Bruford and Bozzio years. One of my favourie bands of all time

According to this chronology, Bruford had left UK before November of 1978:

UK with Bruford only played Cleveland on Sept 18th of that year, so the 78 Cleveland show probably has Bozzio on drumming. Or possibly the date is incorrect.

The 1978 Cleveland (1) is sourced from a pre-FM BBC Transcription disc. The (2) version is an abridged non-remastered audience tape from Doinker. The (1) version sounds like an A grade, while the (2) version has audience chatter, etc.

There is some discussion as to whether the show is dated correctly, with Doinker noting that while most point to the November date, a posting on YouTube suggests the correct date might be September 14. As the above anonymous comment states, there is a September 18 Cleveland show circulating. The Sept 18, 1978 show posted on Just Add Cones is the same London Wavelength Concert Hour (BBC), only sourced off the air.

Regardless, the sound quality of the (1) version listed on Just Add Cones as November 9, 1978 is a great recording to listen to.

As far as I know, all of the 1979 shows are without Bruford and Holdsorth.

I did a little more research. According to Bozzio's official website, he didn't join UK until 1979.

Now I am confused.

thanks for posting these UK shows.

I downloaded the Parisian Welcome show and it is in SHN format. I think it's the OLD original MKW shn format, not the modern SHN format.. the two are not compatible :(

also, track 7 was removed in the original torrent - do you happen to have the track? It is called "when will you realize?", a song only ever issued on a 7" vinyl b-side and long out of print and not available anywhere... I would love to have that song.

thanks in advance :)

The .shn files decode perfectly for me. FYI.

Dr Forrester, thank you so much for the info regarding the SHN files. I haven't tried yet, but will do so later, now I know that they will decode.

Thanks so much for this bunch of UK shows. do you know any links to that missing / rare b-side song "when will you realize"?

Thanks in advance :)

I regret that I do not have the missing song. Sorry.

Thanks, Doctor.. the search continues for that "holy grail" b-side song :)
