  1. (TomP) REMASTER

    Jimi Hendrix & Larry Young
    1969
    Record Plant Sessions, NYC

    Changes made (Nero 7):
Nero noise print NR worked well, did not reduce music quality
Cross-mixed tracks (72:25) to improve stereo image, reduce noise further
Adjusted balance and volume on all tracks
Adjust varying volume levels within tracks 1,6,7 & 10
    Fixed glitches at 2.55 (track2), 3.56 (track 5), 3.34 & 3.48 (track 7)
Added treble boost after track 07 glitch (tape flip to poorer source?)
    Fixed volume drop-outs (0.10-1.00, track 2) (0.18-0.30 and 3.30, track7)
Edited transition between track 8 & 9 to remove short silences

Quality: Worth an A now considering the historic nature of the recording

The original is a historic and pretty high quality recording, but my son also wanted a
copy of it but pointed out the many imperfections, so I did a lot of editing (details
above) for him, although there is still some variability in the mix / levels that I
    just couldn't improve.

My son was very happy with the improvements, so I hope you like it too...

    ...Enjoy !!

    Hendrix/Larry Young/?/? (1-6) - probably same as 7-10
    Hendrix/Larry Young/Billy Cox/Mitch Mitchell (7-10)

    Sources:
1-6 cassette from Warner Bros. rep.
7-10 Jimi Hendrix bootleg CD "The McLaughlin Sessions"

    Transfers by B3gROovE:
    1-6 cassette > Audiophile 2496 > CoolEdit Pro > CD Wave
7-10 CD > EAC > CoolEdit Pro > CD Wave

    Note:
track 10 is an edited version of track 1.
I included it because it's from a different source and
the sound of the recording is different.
