Asia returns to the States to promote their new album, Phoenix. John Wetton looked and sounded great... by all accounts a successful recovery from his open heart surgery last August. They played two tracks off the new album, Never Again and An Extraordinary Life, both well received by the audience.

Note: My levels ran a little hot and there is some distortion during really loud parts, for example the climaxes to Open Your Eyes and Fanfare, and some parts of Sole Survivor. Frankly as a taper, this is highly irritating to me, but fortunately it is limited to only a few isolated notes here and there. 98% of the recording is not affected. The two new songs are fine. I mention this in the interest of full disclosure.
