Line-up:
John Wetton: Bass, vocals, 12-string on tracks 10-12 (disc 1) Steve Howe: Guitars Geoff Downes: Keyboards, backing vocals, vocoder Carl Palmer: Drums, drums and more drums
This was originally scheduled for 14th December at the smaller Wulfrun Hall, but was postponed for John to have his triple by-pass surgery (and Carl also had his angioplasty) - blimey these rockers and their lifestyles, eh? Doesn't it make you feel OLD!!
In terms of the recording, I'm reasonably happy how it came out. Probably a little low on bass: but if you detect any hint of distortion on the higher mid-range (roughly around John's voice) that's how it was at the gig. The Civic Hall is a bit of a big empty room (felt about double the size of my old school's assembly hall) and was disappointingly underfilled (probably only half full - I'd guess there were probably 800-900 of us there) and I think it did make the sound a bit cavernous.
Those of us who were there were very apppreciative, however. Excellent gig: in particular, Carl's drumming.
Lineage: Sony MZ-R35 >> WAV and tracks using Goldwave >> TLH to FLAC
Art included. Frustratingly I had battery problems with my camera, so wasn't able to take any pics.
