OK I'm sure that most people reading this already have this show, but probably not this version, and it's a good one.
I was sitting outside Earls Court before the concert waiting for a friend when I got talking to Bill who had come over from the US to see the entire Earls Court run.
It turned out that we were both primarily deadheads so the conversation got quite intense. We swapped addresses and agreed to swap some shows in the future
A few weeks later these tapes dropped through my letter box. I didn't have DAT at the time but Bill had put them on to top notch metal tapes and they sounded superb. It has often been said that deadheads make the best possible audience recordings, and this is no exception. We did a couple of tape trades and then a package of tapes I sent came back as undeliverable, so thanks again Bill, wherever you are!
Some while later I got all the digital stuff and transferred the tapes to CDR and did copies for a few friends, but I believe that this is not generally in circulation
