Date: June 17, 1981
Label: Live Storm
Catalogue No: LSCD52100
Released: 1994
Country: Italy
Excellent Floyd boot here friends. The date on the boot itself is wrong. I have listed this post with the correct date above in red. I have had this one for a long time and have not seen this date out there in some of the biggest Floyd libraries. I got the info from The Pink Floyd RoIO Database. If you need this one to help complete your collection, I could not be happier to help. If you are a casual fan, it is a very good performance of the Wall and the sound is pretty good audience. Any questions, please ask. Enjoy everyone!

Lineage: CDR (GEN??) > Amadeus II > WAV > xACT > FLAC
This one arrived as 6 tracks over two disks, with one track repeated.
First job was to get it all split correctly.
Normalised 50%
Added an MDA Combo Radio effect which in this instance cut the hiss without
doing anything distructive to the top end.
Normalised again by 80%
Ampliflied the sound level by 40%
Tisuk stereo effect for that big concert sound, some like it, some do not, If you do not then just pass it by :)
Then all the normal little running repairs where done, the MC on CD two fades out, I could nothing with this I am afraid, there is also a cut in this, also something I could do nothing about, well I could and I did, but I feel it was best left as is.
Enjoy the show.

What can I say about this one, came to me as a real nasty sounding show, it had what I can only describe as a rushing noise all the way through it.
Using Filters and Equalistion I did my best to remove this, it is still there but further into background now, to remove it totaly would destroy the recording.
Loudness added at 27.8 dB
Filter added across the sound spectrum at 1.9 dB
CD 1 was also speed corrected as it ran slow....
CD 2 was treated pretty much the same except for no speed correction
was required.
Then all the other other little repair jobs where done.
Enjoy the show.

The Kinks - King Biscuit Flower Hour

The last of the Kinks radio shows that I can offer. It's a dandy from January 1993. Strangely, ages before DVDs, this is a show that actually has multiple endings. Either you are supposed to hear the Kinks through to the end or suddenly switch over to GE Smith & The Saturday Night Live Band for the last segment. Choose your adventure wisely & program your media player appropriately.
Syd Barrett Manchester Tribute Night Visuals

A lovely collection of visual pieces for the Barrett enthusiasts out there. Although there are no new / longer / better quality historical pieces, there are quite a few jolly nice newly created tribute type pieces that are well worth checking out.

A stunning treasure trove of "Early Floyd" TV appearances. It is very unlikely that such a compelling, wholly unique series of films will ever surface again. In-freaking-credible!
Each of the DVDs that I am posting has an .md5 file bundled with it that will verify your .vob files. However, I have had requests in the past for .md5 files for the .rar files. I neglected to provide such a file for the Doug's Tape set below. Therefore, I have bundled it here.

Arnold Laynes
Did you guys know that the Arnold Layne contest page is still functioning over at davidgilmour.com? Well... Here it is... The different tunes can still be manually downloaded. Take this url - http://www.davidgilmour.com/arnoldlayne/uploads/
Then, add a number and .mp3
For example, you may choose - http://www.davidgilmour.com/arnoldlayne/uploads/63.mp3
There are several hundred songs... Not all numbers have songs and not all of the songs are Arnold Laynes. But, a large percentage are. Enjoy!

Roger Waters - 2006.09.21 - Doug's Tape

This is a 2 DVD set. The film was shot from a "sky box" at the arena in Quebec. The camera was on a tripod, so it's very steady. He does zoom in and out a little, but it's mostly a nice wide shot.

Lost Links
Just a word about Lost Links. The fact is that not all links posted in this blog (or any other) are still active. There are two possible reasons for this -
1) Nobody downloaded that file for 90 days
2) Trolls ate'em.
I do not keep all of these hundreds of .rar files around. That would be an insane wate of storage space. So, to re-upload dead files, I would actually have to recreate the files first. The whole process, especially if for a DVD, takes about a day.
The choice really is to either -
1) spend my time recreating / reuploading files that went for more than 90 days without a download - essentially just helping one poor soul. Or -
2) spend my time uploading something new for the first time.... which (hopefully) will be of interest to many people.
Therefore - No reuploads. Sorry.
I am going to take a bit of a break for a few days - about a week. I have one more post to make before then, though. I have 20+ GB of PF DVD projects uploading for my return. You'll love'em.

Roger Waters - Cleveland - 27-September-06
This is another recording by KT. He taped the gig at three different sound quality levels.
1) First set
2) Dark Side
3) everything else
Obviously, recording the whole show at 96/24 would require a huge hard drive. But, doing just Dark Side at the ultra-amazing quality level and leaving the rest at merely 44/16, he was able to have the best of both worlds. Security at this show was really, really tight. They turned away scores of people. So, if you know KT, be nice & send some love along to him for being the best scammer out there. I won't share his method - but it was the best I have ever seen.
96/24 doesn't .flac. So, I had to leave it as a .wav file. Sorry. But, the quality is so good that you'll be able to make your own DVD-Audio version & amaze your neighbors!

Roger Waters - Toronto - 20-Sept-06
Taped by my friend, KT, this version has not previously been shared in any public forum. We sat together at the show. It was a great one. I nearly had a nervous breakdown before the show - not having any of the local legal tender and needing food REALLY BADLY. KT came to the rescue, explaining, very patiently, that I had credit cards in my pocket. D'oh! Pizza for everyone!!
The show was given to me as I am giving it to you - in Nero projects. Just open the files with Nero & burn'em.

Young Lust - Italian misprint
It turns out that a single released in Italy somehow was issued with a pre-production version of Young Lust. I would say that it's a different "mix" or a "demo" - but it's clearly the same song, just earlier in the editing process. This single was tracked down & transferred by the good folks over at Pigs On The Wing.

Vegetable Man Project - Vol 1
The official site is located over here. I only have just the first installment. If anyone has the others, I'd love to hear from you...
The idea behind the project is to have loads of different bands all covering the same song - one of Syd's least accessible numbers.
It's more than any normal person can bear.

ASYD Vinyl

When this beauty came out, I tried to buy a copy with no success. They were apparently sold out before production. Happily, a few months later, I was able to pick one up second-hand. Sorry about the crappy image above - but that's really, honestly how the original looks... This is (as far as I know) the only Norwegian-manufactured music that I own. There are 19 songs. Some of them are really quite nice - such as the gentle cover of See Emily Play.

Jill Sobule - Promo CD

I removed three songs that are from Jill's recent Underdog Victorious CD. You will want to check that out. It's a great listen. But, I've left in all of the rest which are extremely obscure, even to the more hard core fans. There's even one that has never before (so far as I can determine) seen the light of day. For the Warren Zevon fans out there, yes, song number 9 is a cover of his song.

A friend kindly shared this with me the other day. Very, very groovy stuff... You can listen to Alan Parsons' mix in dolby digital or in dts. Of course, you need the appropriate hardware.

Bad News
One of our kind visitors left links to this heavy metal madness.. There is no art in the archive, so you may wish to grab the above. The links are in the comments here. There is no Floyd connection.. But, this album was made by some of the same folks who made the Neil's Heavy Concept album. (Neil's the tall one in the image above.)
